Terms of use
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms apply when you use solotaxkit.com (the "site"), run by SoloTaxKit ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site provides
The site offers free tools, including tax and VAT calculators and an invoice generator, plus general information about UK tax. The tools are provided to help you make estimates. They are not a substitute for professional advice.
2. No professional advice
Nothing on the site is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Results depend on the information you enter and on simplifying assumptions, and may not reflect your circumstances. Before making decisions or filing returns, check with HMRC or a qualified adviser. See our disclaimer for more detail.
3. Accuracy
We take care to use current figures from gov.uk and to keep the tools accurate, but we do not guarantee that the site is free from errors, complete or up to date. Tax rules change, and figures may lag behind official announcements.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for checking any figures and invoices before you rely on or send them.
- You must make sure invoices you create are accurate and meet the legal requirements that apply to your business.
- You must not use the site for anything unlawful, or try to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to it.
5. Our liability
The site is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its tools, including tax penalties, interest, lost profits or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, text and code belong to us or our licensors. Invoices you create with the invoice generator belong to you, and you may use them freely.
7. Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites, such as gov.uk. We are not responsible for their content. Some links in future may be affiliate links, and we will make that clear where they appear.
8. Changes
We may change the site or these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date shows when the terms last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
