The tools and information on SoloTaxKit are estimates only. They are not tax, legal or financial advice.
Estimates, not advice
Our calculators are designed to give you a quick, reasonable estimate based on the figures you enter. They do not take account of your full circumstances. Your actual tax bill, VAT liability or other obligations may be different.
What our calculators may not cover
To keep the tools simple, they may not include, for example:
- Scottish Income Tax rates and bands, which differ from the rest of the UK, unless a tool says it covers them
- Student loan or postgraduate loan repayments
- Pension contributions, Gift Aid, Marriage Allowance or other reliefs
- Payments on account, capital allowances or losses carried forward
- Dividend, savings or property income
- Special rules for particular trades, partnerships or limited companies
Each tool explains its main assumptions on its own page.
Tax years and figures
Each calculator shows the tax year it uses. Rates and thresholds come from gov.uk, but tax rules change, and we cannot guarantee every figure is current at the moment you use the site. Always check the latest figures on gov.uk.
Get professional help when it matters
Before you file a tax return, register for VAT, or make a financial decision, check with HMRC or a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoloTaxKit accepts no responsibility for any loss arising from reliance on the site or its tools. See our terms of use for full details.
