SoloTaxKit

Privacy policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what information SoloTaxKit ("we", "us") collects when you use solotaxkit.com (the "site"), why, and what choices you have. The short version: the numbers you type into our tools never leave your device.

1. Who we are

SoloTaxKit runs this site and is the data controller for the limited personal data described below. You can contact us at hello@solotaxkit.com.

2. Information you enter into our tools

Our calculators and invoice generator run entirely in your web browser. Income, expenses, VAT amounts, invoice details, client details and any logo you upload are processed on your device only. We do not receive, store or have access to this information.

3. Local storage on your device

Some features save information in your browser's local storage so they work the way you expect. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. We use it for:

  • Theme: remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • Invoice drafts: saves your draft invoice, including any logo, so you can come back to it.
  • Cookie choice: if we ask for cookie consent in future, remembers your answer.

You can delete this information at any time by clearing your browser's site data for solotaxkit.com. On a shared computer, clear your invoice draft when you finish.

4. Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first and, if the tool uses cookies, ask for your consent before it runs.

5. Cookies

We do not currently set any cookies. If we add services that use cookies, such as advertising, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. You will be able to accept or reject them, and change your mind later.

6. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, Hostinger records technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, in server logs. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

7. If you email us

If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then delete it.

8. Legal basis

Under UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interests to run, secure and improve the site and to reply to your messages. If we ever use non-essential cookies, we will rely on your consent.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. Because we hold very little personal data, most requests can be answered quickly. Email us at hello@solotaxkit.com.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Children

The site is meant for adults running a business. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes, such as adding cookies, will also be shown on the site.
